Year 4 told their story to the rest of KS2, it was all about some very strange things that happened one Tuesday.  Year 2 then told their story which was “We’re Going On a Bear Hunt” and they did some brilliant actions as they told it.

Author Alex McConduit

The American author Alex McConduit visited our school. He read one of his stories, “Thorn in My Horn” and played the trumpet for all the children.  He told us about himself and answered questions about being an author.  Afterwards he worked with the children in year 4 to give them tips on story writing.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Monksdown staff raised an amazing £234 for Macmillan Cancer Support by bringing, buying and eating lots of cakes at their Macmillan Coffee Morning last Friday.

School Council at the Fair Trade Conference
