ASD Training Course Letter Jan 25.docx
Dear Parent/Grandparent/Carer,
The ‘Help Your Child Thrive/Your Time to Thrive’ programme will be running in
Monksdown School on Monday 13th January to help you help your child thrive at
school. This 5 session course runs for just over an hour in school before you pick
your child up at the end of the school day. I’ll have the kettle on at 2pm!
The course gives you a real insight into what your child is doing in school in year 3
and 4 and how you can support learning at home.
Each week you’ll receive lots of practical tips and ideas as to how to help your child continue to develop skills in
oracy, confidence, reading, writing and maths. You will be given a booklet full of
resources which shows you the methods being used in school to teach your child so
you can support them with their homework! The course is really useful for those who
are interested in pursuing a career as a Teaching Assistant too!
The course is really relaxed and open to all parents/grandparents/carers of year 3
and 4 However, places are limited at this time to 10 parents so be quick to respond!
Don’t worry if you can’t make all 5 sessions as a friend could stand in for you if
needed. If you’d like to sign up for the course, please keep your eyes open for the letter your child brings home this week and fill in the details and return to school.
