SCHOOL NOTICES:

Harvest Celebration

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who sent in food for our harvest celebration. All over the school there were bags full of food which will be donated to the local food bank. Cheryl from the Church Army joined us to talk about the harvest time message.

WOW Challenge Begins!

WHAT IS WOW?

WOW IS LIVING STREETS’ YEAR-ROUND WALK TO SCHOOL CHALLENGE

Pupils record how they get to school each day on the interactive WOW Travel Tracker and those who walk (skate, scoot, cycle or Park & Stride!) at least once per week for a month are rewarded with a themed badge. It’s that easy!

Jane from Living Streets came in to explain to the children all about WOW. The school council then met with her to find out how to complete the online tracker in their classes each day.

Monksdown on BBC News

Three of our children appeared on BBC News to talk about the Peter Pan statue in Sefton Park.

A Visit From Former Liverpool Players

Children and parents were surprised when Liverpool legends from the Former Liverpool Players Association, Alan Kennedy and Ian Callaghan, visited our nursery, along with representatives from the Merseyside Children’s Fund. They were there to present a cheque for money which they have kindly donated to help decorate the nursery.
